RULES & REGULATIONS
Mr Herd,
Here is an article written 113 years ago degrading the nations of negroes. You Sir, have come a long way in the eyes of the Watchtower Society. Women aren't under subjection to any man just like the Negro race is not under subjection to the white race!
The above excerpt is taken from Zion’s Watch Tower, July 15th 1902, pages 215-216.

Mr. Smauel Herd :
Before you gave this wonderful talk on women ,you should of read this article out loud to yourself ! Your race was not really admired 100 years ago by the Watch Tower.
While it is true that the white race exhibits some qualities of superiority over any other, we are to remember that there are wide differences in the same Caucasian (Semitic and Aryan) family; and also we should remember that some of the qualities which have given this branch of the human family its preeminence in the world are not such as can be pointed to as in all respects admirable....The secret of the greater intelligence and aptitude of the Caucasian undoubtedly in great measure is to be attributed to the commingling of blood amongst its various branches; and this was evidently forced in large measure by circumstances under divine control. Elders who dislike other congregation elders
by RULES & REGULATIONS inmy congregation had four elders who had different personalities.you would see a little friction among themselves.. #1 self-righteous and the 800 pound gorilla.he would push everyone around in the congregation and even some fellow elders.. # 2 elder was around 80 years old and looked like he stuck around a little too long.it looked like he was around because he never decided to give up the position.his duty became very light as he aged.. # 3 elder was in his early 30's and newly elected.he made no waves and whatever was asked of him in the congregation he would do.easy to push around like a little puppy dog.. #4 elder (who everyone liked ) was easy to get along with and had a family who everyone loved.
he didn't like elder # 1. they had a power struggle amongst each other which everyone observed while the meetings were in session.. here are 2 small verbal fights that i observed while the congregation meetings were in session:.
while elder # 1 was giving a talk ( heavy rain storms are brewing outside with loud thunder and lightning ) the microphones and lights are knocked out.we lost all power and could barely see.

a small BOE the WT defaults to the COOBE, since he usually interprets being the COOBE as having the most qualifications, the curious thing and I'm not sure some of the friends notice...how some of these guys really use this assignment as a platform to attract attention to themselves,Yes! That's Elder # 1 you're describing! He was the Watchtower conductor for the longest time since he was the COBE. His whole objective was to show how smart and self-righteous he was. The Watchtower meetings always ran 10-15 minutes late every week since he talked so much. One time (an elderly sister who didn't read that well and read too slow) was told by Elder # 1 to stop reading mid- sentence because they didn't have enough time. ( Actually,he didn't like the fact that she was uneducated and he was so smart )

I was once in a Congregation where the original Presiding Overseer (and his wife) continued to rule the roost even though i long ago had become a revolving position.
Can someone explain what a revolving position is? I have an idea what it means but can someone please clarify?

My congregation had four elders who had different personalities. You would see a little friction among themselves.
#1 Self-righteous and the 800 pound gorilla. He would push everyone around in the congregation and even some fellow elders.
# 2 Elder was around 80 years old and looked like he stuck around a little too long.It looked like he was around because he never decided to give up the position. His duty became very light as he aged.
# 3 Elder was in his early 30's and newly elected. He made no waves and whatever was asked of him in the congregation he would do.Easy to push around like a little puppy dog.
#4 Elder (who everyone liked ) was easy to get along with and had a family who everyone loved. He didn't like elder # 1. They had a power struggle amongst each other which everyone observed while the meetings were in session.
Here are 2 small verbal fights that I observed while the congregation meetings were in session:
While Elder # 1 was giving a talk ( heavy rain storms are brewing outside with loud thunder and lightning ) the microphones and lights are knocked out.We lost all power and could barely see. Elder # 1 yells out, '' We have an electrician in the house and it looks like he's just sitting there and not doing anything to see what he can do to fix the problem.'' Elder # 4 ( an electrician ) says angrily, '' The transformer is down. What would you like me to fix?"
Elder # 4 is giving a 5 minute question and answer talk at the Ministry School. Elder # 1 is called on to answer the first question. He gives a 3 minute answer which covers almost the whole question and answer talk. Elder # 4 says to Elder # 1, ''If you want, you can come up here and finish my talk."

EPHESIANS 2:1-10
Furthermore, God made you alive, though you were dead in your trespasses and sins,+ 2 in which you at one time walked according to the system of things* of this world,+ according to the ruler of the authority of the air,+ the spirit+ that is now at work in the sons of disobedience. 3 Yes, among them we all at one time conducted ourselves in harmony with the desires of our flesh,+ carrying out the will of the flesh and of our thoughts,+and we were naturally children of wrath+ just as the rest. 4 But God, being rich in mercy,+ because of his great love with which he loved us,+ 5 made us alive together with the Christ, even when we were dead in trespasses+—by undeserved kindness you have been saved. 6 Moreover, he raised us up together and seated us together in the heavenly places in union with Christ Jesus,+ 7 so that in the coming systems of things* he might demonstrate the surpassing riches of his undeserved kindness in his graciousness*toward us in union with Christ Jesus.8 By this undeserved kindness you have been saved through faith,+ and this is not of your own doing; rather, it is God’s gift. 9 No, it is not a result of works,+ so that no one should have grounds for boasting. 10 We are God’s handiwork* and were created+ in union with Christ Jesus+ for good works, which God determined in advance for us to walk in them

Self-righteous elder( who never liked me due to myself missing so many meetings,no field service in years, and didn't answer at the meetings) walked in a conversation with my mom. My mom had many health issues but she still didn't miss any meetings. Here is the conversation he walked unto and how disrespectful he was to me in front of my mom.
My mom: ''Are you coming over this week for a visit?''
Me : " I will come over sometime this week."
SELF RIGHTEOUS ELDER: ''MRS. R&R ...You look healthy! And, it's nice to see you at tonight's meeting."
My mom: " I may look good but have too many health issues. I wish I had my son's health."
SELF RIGHTEOUS ELDER: " But at least you have more spiritual health than your son!" And the asshole walks away.

Don't forget - after the big A there's supposed to be another 1,000 years of service meetings and preaching before Jehovah, in his infinite wisdom, releases Satan to do it all again.
After the thousands of boring, mind numbing meetings and thousands of hours in field service you needed in order to survive Armageddon, you now will need another 1,000 years of meetings and field service ( teaching all the resurrected). And, you still might not live in the new order. If that's not enough,Satan is still alive another THOUSAND YEARS to tempt you to disobey Jehovah.
What really bothered me was: Why would Jehovah kill off billions of people who disobeyed him but never killed off Satan? Why did Jehovah make it so hard even in the new order? HOW DID I EVER BELIEVE THIS CRAP?

First thoughts on "new" meeting...
by konceptual99 inhad a quick look at the workbook and flicked through the sample meeting video.. the increased use of video shows the trend for more centralised dissemination of "best practice" .
sure there isn't really a "school" any more and the format is a bit different but i think those that called it as the same old crap just in new package got it pretty much right.
